Connect Google Ads so Breakout workflows can analyze campaign performance, run reporting, manage campaigns or budgets where approved, and upload offline conversions when enabled.
Important: Check if this is enabled for your workspace.
Prerequisties
Use a Google account with access to the correct Google Ads manager or customer account.
If your team works under a manager account, confirm the account hierarchy and the customer accounts that should be available.
Google Ads API access must also be enabled for the Breakout app. If OAuth succeeds but API calls fail, contact Breakout support to verify Google Ads API access for your workspace.
Permissions
Google permission | Why Breakout needs it |
Read Google Ads performance data and perform approved campaign, budget, or offline-conversion operations. |
Allowing Breakout to access Google Ads
Click Connect on the Google Ads card.
Allow the Google approval window to open.
Sign in to the Google account with Google Ads access.
Review the requested Google Ads permission.
Approve the connection.
Return to Breakout and wait for the card to show as connected.
Verifying the connection
The Google Ads card should show as connected.
Test with a read-only report query against a known Google Ads customer account before running workflows that modify campaigns, budgets, or conversions.
If customer accounts are missing, confirm that the connected Google user can access them directly in Google Ads and that the workflow uses the correct customer ID.
Disconnecting or reconnecting to Google Ads
Disconnect when changing the Google user, manager account, or access policy.
Important: Disconnecting stops future Google Ads API access through Breakout. It does not pause campaigns or remove conversions already uploaded.
