Connect Google Analytics so Breakout workflows can read analytics data for the properties the connected Google account can access.
Important: Google Analytics may be connected from Settings > Integrations when the card is enabled, or from an in-product connection prompt when a workflow needs analytics access.
Prerequisites
Use a Google account with access to the correct Google Analytics account and property.
If the property is managed by another team, ask an Analytics administrator to grant access before connecting.
Confirm which property or data stream your workflows should use so you can test the right account after connection.
Permissions
Google permission | Why Breakout needs it |
Read traffic insights, top pages, channel breakdowns, and conversion event data without modifying Analytics configuration. |
Allowing Breakout to access Google Analytics
Open the Google Analytics card or connection prompt.
Click Connect.
Allow the Google approval window to open.
Sign in to the Google account that has Analytics access.
Review the requested Analytics read permission.
Approve the connection.
Verifying the connection
The card or prompt should show as connected.
Test with a read-only query for a known Analytics property.
If no properties appear, confirm that the connected Google account can see the property directly in Google Analytics.
Disconnecting or reconnecting to Google Analytics
Disconnect while:
Changing the Google account
Removing Analytics access
Important: Disconnecting stops future Analytics reads through Breakout. It does not change data in Google Analytics.
