Connect Google Drive so Breakout workflows can list files and folders, read file contents, create folders, and save new files where enabled.
Important: Google Workspace cards may not appear on the Integrations page in Breakout. If Google Drive is enabled for your workspace, connect it from the integration card or from the in-product connection prompt when a workflow needs Drive access.
Prerequisites
Use the Google account that owns or can access the Drive files the workflows need.
For shared-drive workflows, confirm that the account has access to the shared drive and the relevant folders.
If Google Workspace app restrictions are enabled, ask a Workspace admin to approve the app before connecting.
Permissions
Google permission | Why Breakout needs it |
List and read files and folders from Google Drive that the connected account can access | |
Create folders or save files that the app creates or that the user opens with the app |
Allow Breakout to access Google Drive
Open the Google Drive integration card or connection prompt.
Click Connect.
Allow the Google approval window to open.
Sign in to the correct Google account.
Review the requested Drive permissions.
Approve the connection.
Verifying the connection
The connection should show as connected.
Test with a read-only workflow that lists a known folder or reads a small file the connected account can access.
If files are missing, confirm that the connected account can open them directly in Google Drive.
Disconnecting or reconnecting Google Drive
Disconnect when:
Changing the Google account
Removing Drive access
Rotating workspace app approvals
Important: Disconnecting stops future Drive access through Breakout. It does not delete files from Google Drive.
