Connect Gmail so Breakout workflows can search and read mailbox messages, send approved email, update labels, and look up Google contacts.
Important: Google Workspace cards may not appear in every Settings > Integrations view. If Gmail is enabled for your workspace, connect it from the integration card or from the in-product connection prompt when a workflow needs Gmail access.
Prerequisites
Use the Google account whose mailbox should be available to Breakout.
For team workflows, use an approved shared or service mailbox when your organization allows it.
If your Google Workspace admin restricts third-party apps, the app may need to be trusted or approved in Google Admin before users can complete OAuth.

Allowing Breakout to access Gmail
Click your name to navigate to Settings
Click Integrations and then open the Gmail integration card or connection prompt
Click Connect
Allow the Google approval window to open
Sign in to the correct Google account
Review the requested Gmail and Contacts permissions
Approve the connection
Return to Breakout and wait for the connected state
The system may request Gmail read, send, modify, and contacts read access depending on the workflows enabled for your workspace.
Verifying the connection
The connection should show as connected in the integration prompt or list.
Test with a read-only mailbox search before sending email through an approved workflow.
If sending fails, check that the connected account is allowed to send mail and that the provider app has not been blocked by Google Workspace policy.
Disconnect or reconnect
Disconnect or revoke the grant when:
Changing the mailbox
Rotating account access
Removing a user's mailbox from workflow access
Important: Disconnecting stops future Gmail access through Breakout. It does not delete email from Gmail.
