Connect Apollo so Breakout can use Apollo for outbound sequence enrollment, prospect operations, and account or contact enrichment where enabled.

Prerequisites

Use an Apollo account or API credential with access to the sequences, contacts, accounts, and mailbox capabilities your workflows will use. For sequence enrollment workflows, confirm that the credential can access the target sequence and mailbox.

Permissions

Apollo permissions can be broad because the integration supports enrichment, search, contact and account operations, sequence enrollment, tasks, mailbox lookup, and reporting.

Allowing Breakout to access Apollo

  1. Click your name to navigate to Settings

  2. Click Integrations and then toggle the switch on in the Apollo card.

The Apollo approval window opens. The Apollo card may show a credential form or an OAuth-style connection, depending on your workspace configuration. Depending on the type of card that opens, use one of the following methods:

Using the credentials method

  1. Paste the Apollo API key requested by the form.

  2. Submit the form.

Using the OAuth method

  1. Sign in to Apollo with the account that owns the relevant sequences.

  2. Approve the requested permissions.

Return to Breakout and wait for the Apollo integration to show as Connected. It may take a few minutes for the status to update on the Integrations page.

  • If the Apollo approval window closes but the integration still doesn't show as connected, refresh the Integrations page.

  • If Apollo still appears as Disconnected, reconnect the integration and make sure you complete the Apollo approval process successfully.

Verifying the connection

The Apollo card should show as connected. Test with a workflow that lists or enrolls into a known Apollo sequence.

If Apollo returns a validation error, check that custom fields referenced by the workflow exist in Apollo and that the connected credential can see the target sequence.

Disconnecting or reconnecting Apollo

Disconnect in the following cases:

  • Rotating Apollo API keys

  • Changing the Apollo account

  • Moving sequence ownership

Reconnect with the new credentials.
