Breakout

Allow Breakout to access Slack so that Breakout can send workspace notifications and route workflow updates to approved Slack channels. 

Use a Slack account that can install or approve apps for the workspace. If your Slack organization restricts app installs, ask a Slack workspace owner or app manager to approve the connection.

Decide which channels should receive Breakout notifications. Connecting Slack authorizes the workspace. Channel selection can be managed after the connection has been completed.

Click your name to navigate to Settings

Click Integrations and then toggle the switch on in the Slack card. The Slack approval window opens. ​

Review app permissions and then click Allow.

4. Review app permissions and then click Allow.

Return to Breakout and wait for the Slack integration to show as Connected. It may take a few minutes for the status to update on the Integrations page.

If the Slack approval window closes but the integration still doesn't show as connected, refresh the Integrations page.

If Slack still appears as Disconnected, reconnect the integration and make sure you complete the Slack approval process successfully.

Slack should show as connected on the Integrations page in Breakout. Test with a low-risk notification or ask your customer success manager to trigger a test event for you.
